This is the preliminary webinar #21 of the IV SRI World Congress (SRIC4)

Abstract

Since the late fifties of last century space is not any longer just an observed area but a place to go. Through race in space between USSR and USA the development of space flights was very much accelerated. After years of competition and cooperation the number of space faring nations increased. The next step was the establishment of space commercialisation. Today a shift of paradigm of actors, purpose, technologies and actions can be observed. In addition a new race in space between USA and China is rapidly developing. What are the future perspectives? What are the future activities? What are the future destinations for space flights? And what is the role of humans in this fast changes. The presentation will highlight the current situation as well as some expectations.
