There is a great deal of earnest work to be done if humankind is ever to achieve the ultimate goal of expanding beyond Earth and establishing new branches of civilization throughout our solar system. Certainly, there are many technical issues that need to be addressed. But just as important are the international policies that can help to spur us toward a space future. In this talk, Steven Wolfe, President, and Co-founder of the Beyond Earth Institute will discuss the range of space policy issues that, if properly addressed, will not only remove barriers to eventual space settlement but will help to propel the global community more quickly to reaching that goal. Steve Wolfe will also discuss his book, The Obligation, which has been a source of inspiration to many who are committed to a space migration future.
