The first international congress of the Space Renaissance International begins wit the pre-congressual discussion, just after the public presentation of the Congress, the December 18th 2010, at the Unagolf Hotel – Cavaglià (BI), Italy.

We hold our first congress in a context of great movement. Space Tourism is moving its first steps, from the Virgin Galactic Mojave spaceport, and many small enterprises are working hard to validate new engines and new technologies for the low cost access to space. The whole world is looking at the Space Based Solar Power as a concret hope, in order to go over the obsolete foxile energy sources. Several countries are looking at space as a resource, finally.

The philosophical and political focus that proposed by our congress is the Commercial Spaceflight: low cost access to space, space tourism, geo-lunar region industrialization, SBSP, Near Earth Asteroids resources utilization for building the space infrastructure. We also hope that our congress will encourage all the new dealers entering the space community.
Our Congress will be a big call to all the new Space Countries, to “burn the stages”, and to go speedly through the history: they definitely don’t need to repeat all the mistakes made by the historical space agencies. They can start by a mature ideological platform, giving a boost contribute for a true world wide space renaissance!
