In February 2020, the SRI Board approved a world wide campaign, called “The Civilian Space Protocol”, aimed to recommend all of the Planet Earth’s Government to target more money to the civilian space development. The Call is being sent to all of the Planet Earth’s space advocacy organizations, to join as co-hosting primus-inter-pares:

A call to the world wide space community

The signer organizations call all the space advocacy organizations of Planet Earth to join the Civilian Space Protocol world wide campaign. If you share with us the idea that:

the civilian space settlement should be kicked-off before 2030,
such a new paradigm requires priority focus to enhance some enabling technologies, to allow civilian untrained passengers to travel, work and live in space for long time,
the private industry is making a great effort, but shouldn’t be left alone,
the Planet Earth’s Governments are spending too much for military and too little or zero for civilian space development,
the world wide space community should speak loud with one only voice, to recommend such an urgent development,
then you should join the Civilian Space Protocol worldwide campaign, in order to solicit a better expenditure of public money worldwide, to support the New Space industry to work in the good direction.

Space advocacy organizations of all Countries, join the Civilian Space Protocol!

Our goal, in the current historical phase, with horizon 2025, is to ignite the civilization expansion into outer space. We therefore indicate some priorities, that we recommend to be adopted by every space dealers worldwide.

Construction and maintenance of space infrastructures directly in space.
Capture and reuse of space debris and wreckages.
Developing new capabilities for civil passenger transportation and accommodation in space.
Developing reusable launch systems, for passengers and cargo transportation in space.
Additive Layer Manufacturing technologies, for the industrial development of Earth’s orbit and beyond.
Enabling technologies for transport and accomodation of untrained civilians in space:
- low-cost orbital transport systems for civil passengers,
- inter-orbital maneuverability concepts,
- horizontal takeoff and soft acceleration during Earth to orbit travel,
- innovative and safer re-entry in atmosphere approaches
- scientific research to protect life and health in space from cosmic radiation,
- space habitats with artificial gravity by rotation,
- artificial ecosystems and Exo-gardening and horticulture.

Space Renaissance is a new, global philosophy, having its basic ground on Earth, and its natural development in the extraterrestrial space. Our founding concepts are New Humanism and Astro-Humanism. We look at the past Renaissance (1500) as an inspiration for patronage and capability to aim high, and to make great projects by means of good will and mutual cooperation. Among our scopes:

To promote the expansion of Civilization into the Outer Space
To build the philosophy and culture of the Space Age, to help the New Renaissance of Humanity in Space.
To bring the Space Renaissance philosophy and proposals to the large public attention.
To promote investments, new financial tools and government grants, to support the new space economy industry and research.
To build the Space Renaissance Academy, a great international, philosophical and scientific school.

The Space Renaissance International is an international non-profit, cultural and social promotion association. We call all of the sincere astronautic humanists on Earth to give birth to local national chapters of the Space Renaissance International.
